The movie is about a group of criminals who were being transported to a remote island prison on a ship. The ship clashes with some rocks and sinks. Some prisoners, cons, and guards survive and swim to a nearby island. The people on the island are terrified when they hear that another prisoner has made it ashore before them. It was the murderous psychotic, Lee Rook, who was not only responsible for sinking the ship, but also decapitated all the crew of the lighthouse on the island except for one person. The prisoners and guards are now stranded on an unfamiliar island to them and have no means to call for help or escape; they know that Lee Rook will not rest until he kills each and every one of them and adds their heads to his wide collection.

The movie Lighthouse was first released in France and has been watched by many people worldwide. Lighthouse has gained a good publicity, mainly due to its amazing direction. Although the concept is hard to be shown and explained, the director has put it in a clear and effective manner, and hence it was very comprehendible and was not as confusing as many movies in its genre are.

The atmosphere in Lighthouse was somewhat depressing with moody storms and the isolated lighthouse, but that made it even more interesting because people today want to feel scared, that is why they watch horror movies! Lighthouse does need a bit of focusing in it so that it could be fully understood and more fun to watch.
